Photographs of a voyage to Sri Lanka, where we could not go in Anuradhapura due to civil war between Tamouls and the Singhaleses.
You will discover nevertheless the essence of the country, with the archeological sites of Dambulla, Sigiriya and its famous young ladies, Kandalama, Gadaladeniya, Medirigiriya, Pilimatawala, Vihara and Polonnâruvâ, capital of Sri Lanka of VIIIe in XIVe century,
as well as the cities like Kandy and its temple of the Tooth or its botanical garden located at Peradeniya, Matale and the hindouist culture, the landscapes of mountains with Nurawa Eliya and its plantations of teas, lake as in Kandalama, beaches as in Beruwela beside Bentota. And to finish, the Singhalese traditional dances and the famous elephants which populate the island (conservation of Pinnawela).
